Product Certification in the European Union
CE mark on your products
The main requirement for products sold in the countries of the European Union is its complete safety for humans, animals, property and the environment. The safety requirements for various types of products are presented in the relevant Directives and Regulations of the European Union.
Confirmation of product safety is carried out using special procedures that provide for a certain sequence of actions, upon completion of which the manufacturer declares and guarantees at his own responsibility that the products manufactured by him fully comply with the requirements of the EU Directives and Regulations, as well as harmonized European Union standards. Such a declaration by the manufacturer is called the EU Declaration of Conformity, and the manufacturer is entitled to label the product with the CE mark.
The EU Declaration of Conformity can be issued by the manufacturer only after he has completed the full range of work provided for in the relevant EU Directives and Regulations:
A set of evidence-based documentation (Technical file) for the products has been prepared; The competent authority has assessed the conformity of the products with the requirements of the Directives, Regulations and EU standards; The results of product tests confirm its compliance with the requirements of European standards; The company has created and operates a quality management system capable of ensuring control of serial production according to European standards.
